How will viewing these photographs affect the way you take photographs in the future?

Throughout each page of photographs, I saw a different variety of angles, lighting, color mixture, and meaning. What I have personally noticed for my future photographs is that a photograph will transmit a feeling or emotion to the viewer, so when I take one, I want them to feel the same thing as in the moment the photograph is being taken. For that, I think I have to work on the angle of the picture and focus more on the main point of it. For example, if I was to picture someone laughing I want that person to be the main focus of the photograph, but I also want to show the surroundings and background. Another point that will play a big role in this situation is the light. Sometimes photographs do not look the same or transmit any feeling or emotion, just because of the lighting, so using flash will sometimes work better than not using it. And just to make it even better, use a prepared camera. Phones nowadays are well equipped, but cameras are always going to give our image a better quality.

What are your favorite photographs from each of the three categories?
In these three categories, I found a broad variety of photographs, but the one that stood out to me the most is in the section 2021 Environment, called the second place. From my point of view, it showed how small a plane is, and how big of a problem pollution is. How I felt like this is because the background is just a huge cloud of pollution and the plane is flying away from it. And even though the plane is shown very small, I still get the sense that the plane is the main character in this photograph.
Explain why you chose the three photographs?

In the one about general news, I decided to go for the second photo because that took my attention the most. It looks like it is taken straight out of a horror movie.
In 2021 Environment, the second photo because it made me realize that pollution is bigger and affects our world more than we might think.
In 2021 contemporary Issues, I took the second photo because I felt the family in this picture is giving a lot of messages. The apartment on its own has a big story I feel, very colorful.

Explain how the photo made you feel about the person in the photograph i.e. their mood, personality, unique characteristic, etc.?
In the one about general news, It made me feel almost scared, it was cold and sad. The whole story behind it does not make it better either, just in general very sad.
In the 2021 Environment photo, the second photograph made me feel sad because we as humans are not taking care of the environment, but also anxious because we need to do something about it, and it does not feel like an urgent enough issue for the governments.
In the 2021 contemporary Issues photo, I took the second photo because I felt the family atmosphere and how the parents is doing everything to keep them and their children safe like they are in some kind of trouble, while the children are unknown of it.
Camera angle - was the photographer above, below, behind, or in front of the subject(s)​
In the 2021 general news photo, the photographer was close to the subject and was beside or in front of the subject depending on how you see it.
In the 2021 Environment photo, the second photograph was taken from above, to create a sense of how small a plane is and how big the issue of pollution is.
In 2021 contemporary Issues photo, Is slightly above both the parents and the kids, but in level with the dad's head.

2. Composition - does the subject(s) fill the frame or was the rule of 3rd used was it a detail, face, partial body, or full view of the subject(s)
In the one about general news, it was a clear view of the whole object from the side, it was a full view.
In 2021 Environmen photo t, the second photograph the subject is seen in full view, because of how big the cloud of pollution is.
In the 2021 contemporary Issues photo, there was the partial body of the parents which is the main focus in the photo. There is the full body of the kids and we also get a partial view of their living room.

3. Costume or clothing - what subject(s) is wearing
In the one about general news, the Subject is wrapped in yellow infectious waste plastic, bags, and wrappers
In 2021 Environment, the second photograph is not wearing anything because it shows a plane and a massive gray and brown cloud.
In the 2021 contemporary Issues photo, the mom is dressed colorful and the dad is more basic colored with blue and white, the room brings a lot of colors.

4. Props - the subject(s) is interacting with i.e. a purse, cane, etc
In the one about general news, the subject is interacting by laying in a bed and is being wrapped in plastic.
In 2021 Environment, the second photograph shows the interaction between the plane and the people in the plane and the cloud of pollution.
In the 2021 contemporary Issues photo, the parents are interacting with each other and the kids behind are interacting by looking at the same game.

5. Setting - describe where the photo was taken i.e. kitchen, the woods, etc.
In the one about general news, the photo is taken in a hospital room
In the 2021 Environment, the second photograph is taken from the sky.
In 2021 contemporary Issues photo is taken in the living room.

6. Gesture - describe the pose of the subject(s)
In the one about general news, the subject is laid down, therefore it is a side view.
In the 2021 Environment, the second photograph we can appreciate the plane flying upwards.
In the 2021 contemporary Issues photo, they are hugging and are just being emotional and the kids are relaxed and playing mobile games.

7. Source of lighting - window, lamp, sun, etc
In the one about general news, the reflection of a bright hospital light is reflected on the window, which is the main light in this picture and in too the room. The natural light is almost zero.
In the 2021 Environment, the second photograph of the source of light would be the sun.
In the 2021 contemporary Issues photo, the light is coming from the front of the photo out of windows that is around the living room.

8. Direction of lighting - left, right behind, front, top below, etc.
In the one about general news, the light is coming straight from the top, but because there is a window, the light is reflecting a little bit from there too.
In the 2021 Environment, the second photograph shows the direction of lighting from the top left.
In 2021 contemporary Issuesphoto, light is coming from the front of the picture.

9. Camera angle - was the photographer above, below, behind, or in front of the subject(s)
In the one about general news, the photographer is taking it slightly above the subject, but pretty much on a level with the subject.
In the 2021 Environment, the second photograph was taken from an above angle.
In the 2021 contemporary Issues photo, the parents are in level and in front with the camera angle, while the kids are slightly below.
